Odd Mob Turns in Savage Bass-Driven Remix of “Redlight”
In the closing weeks of 2018, the Punks Music imprint had a hit on their hands in the form of “Redlight.” The collaboration between Marten Hørger and SkiiTour came packing with plenty of swag and one hell of a memorable bottom-end rumble, settling for weeks on end in the Beatport Electro House charts. After making such a big impression, the Punks crew knew a proper remix package was called for, and we’re bringing you a preview before it drops on Friday.
Odd Mob joins a solid posse of producer talent assembled for the Redlight Remixes package, which also includes Eskei83, LO’99 & Double Agent, Anomon and Left/Right. This particular rework maintains the original’s quirky vocals, though the stakes are escalated by a faster tempo from its opening moments. Replacing the incredible groove and bassline of the original was always going to prove a Herculean task, though Odd Mob proves he’s up for the job with a gritty slice of bass house noise that hits with full force. Prepare yourself.
Available April 12 via Punks Music.
