Born and raised in San Diego California, Johnny began his love for EDM through his two older cousins. All it had taken was one vinyl record, brought back to San Diego all the way from Manchester England. ATB’s first studio album out on the market, Movin’ Melodies, was the masterpiece that changed Johnny’s life…
Having been apart of the music and entertainment scene since 2006, Johnny was inspired by epic trance artists such as Tiesto, Judge Jules, Christopher Lawrence, ATB, Simon Patterson, Eddie Halliwell and many more. In 2007, when he purchased his first setup, Johnny’s taste had seemingly drifted to the deep and funky sounds that came with house music.
Today, Johnny’s sounds flow through an extremely wide set of notes and pitches. He dabbles in every corner of the house music spectrum throughout his sets. His sounds range from tech house to funky disco, dirty electro to lyrical progressive, and grimy after-hour beats to mainstream pop. His unique versatility enables him to appeal to any crowd and to blow up any dance floor that he encounters.
In 2011, Johnny was taken under the wing of one of San Diego’s premier event production teams, DJhere Productions. After taking advantage of the opportunities given to him from the get go, Johnny and his fan base have grown immensely. Since then, he has frequently rocked nightclubs and parties downtown such as Hard Rock, Ivy Nightclub, Sidebar, Stingaree, Intervention, Bassmnt Wintervention, Voyeur and FLUXX.
Today, Johnny Rayburn has shared the stage and provided direct support for world famous artists such as Sidney Sampson, NERVO, Paul Oakenfold, Cosmic Gate, Bob Sinclar, Michael Woods, BASSJACKERS, Topher Jones, Chris Lake, Manufactured Superstars, Chuckie Joachim Garraud, DJ Loczi, Chris Garcia, Tony Arzadon, Scooter and Lavelle, CAZZETTE, Afrojack, W&W, Carnage, DJ VICE, Grandtheft, LANGE, Nicky Romero, Pauly D and many more. He continues to wow crowds throughout San Diego and is always eager to learn and striving to be the best!
