Fabrício Peçanha “Don’t Stop”

With Kerri Chandler sitting in the chief exec’s seat, MadTech is a label you can always lean on for top-grade club cuts. Going against the grain is their whole game, as they’re known for signing off on a cast of groundbreakers who continue to raise the bar of house music in big ways. The imprint is now tapping those same names to contribute to their MadTech 03 compilation, which zooms in on the sounds of standouts from the likes of Bontan, SEFF and Yousef.

Rubbing shoulders with 13 other crucial contemporaries is Brazil’s finest, Fabrício Peçanha, who slams down a dark slice of driving tech. “Don’t Stop” shows us exactly how he likes to roll: pushing out precise drum work that doesn’t give you room to think about anything except moving your feet. The ride on this bad boy is a treacherous one, as he puts in motion arresting pads and waist-wrecking basslines that will leave heads floored for sure.

It would be called Sweet & Spicy. The tagline would be “Tech.”

Who is the ideal person to remix this track?
De Marzo, because I think that his style would go perfect with this track.

How does this production reflect your personality/ethos?
It reflects me in the sense that I like to have fun, to dance and to be free.

What’s your favorite sound/synth/effect/etc. used here?
I used Moog to do the effect after the break, to substitute the white noise. I think that one was my favorite.

If this song were a color, what color would it be?
Purple.
