Go Deep With These Nocturnal Wonderland Playlists From Lane 8, Jody Wisternoff, Cubicolor and Beckwith
Upcoming Event
With hundreds of releases under its belt, Anjunadeep has put out quality deep house for over 10 years. As the sibling label to Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats imprint, Anjunadeep has distinguished itself as a home for beautiful and melodic electronic music. With the release of their forthcoming Anjunadeep 07 mix compilation, we invited a few of our favorite artists from the label to perform at the Nocturnal Wonderland 20th Anniversary this Labor Day weekend, where Anjunadeep will host a curated stage Sunday, September 6.
To give you an idea of what to expect at the Anjunadeep showcase, they sent us over handpicked playlists from Lane 8, Jody Wisternoff, Cubicolor and Beckwith, who are all performing at Nocturnal Wonderland 2015.

Jody Wisternoff
Tom Demac “Dave Saints”
I’ve been a huge fan of Tom Demac since “Critical Distance Pt. 2,” and this track once again presses all the right buttons. Very cool chord progression, fresh skipping beats, and spooked-out vocal washes. Hypercolour on top form here. Music for the body and mind!
Lauren Ritter “Glass Hour”
Lee Burridge and Matthew Dekay’s super cool imprint comes up with an absolute beauty. Hauntingly beautiful pads and hypnotic, meandering synths give this track a melancholic but warming sensation. Proper daylight, after-party vibes.
Dusky “Squeezer”
Dusky on ridiculously good form. This track just totally does it for me on so many levels and has been a constant in my set for a while. Vocal samples don’t get much better than this, and the kick drum is punishing. Big respect to the boys for this one.
Lane 8 ft. Lulu James “Loving You”
A personal favorite from Daniel’s awesome debut album on the mighty Anjunadeep. Proper end-of-the-night business, emotional and anthemic in equal doses. One for the ladieezzz!
Jody Wisternoff ft. Sian Evans “The Bridge”
A bit of shameless self-promotion here (laughs). This track is pretty much my statement of intent, encapsulating the things I love about dance music. Watch out for an exclusive remix I have done for Anjunadeep 07 [to take] things in a more ‘90s, analog-style direction. Also, the legendary Chicane [will release] his classy big-room mix soon on Anjunabeats.

Cubicolor
Cubicolor “Down the Wall”
The lead track off our new EP, it’s dreamy, deep, and experimental. It shows a lot of the intention we have with this project, especially when you watch the video with the music. It’s quite a trip!
Alexey Sonar & Sebastian Weikum “Monsoon” (Pete K Sunset Mix)
A friendly, deep track that brings a warm blanket of sound that doesn’t hurt.
Howling “X Machina”
Such a rush!
16 Bit Lolitas “Deep in My Soul”
A record that works wherever you play it, whenever you play it. That doesn’t happen every day.
Dusky “Mr Man”
Still a great record. It’s always good to include some piano here and there, especially if it’s done in a tasteful manner, as Dusky did it in this track.

Guy Mantzur & Roy RosenfelD “Epika”
I played this track in Sydney a few weeks ago, and the entire crowd started singing along to the main melody; it was such an amazing moment! It is a perfect earworm that just embeds itself deep in your brain and haunts you, but in an amazing way. The production on it is just insane, which is no surprise coming from those two.
Dosem “Runnerpark” (Jeremy Olander Remix)
Love this remix Jeremy Olander did on Suara, one of the best labels around at the minute. What I love most about this track is that it continues to build and build toward the final drop. That’s an approach I try to incorporate into my own productions. There’s nothing like surprising a crowd with a track that keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Brian Cid “Pitch Black”
Amazing tune here on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound label. I love the quirky synth melodies in the break, and it has that perfect heavy groove in the main section that I love.
Benotmane “Beyond” (Karmon Remix)
Trance is definitely back, and this is a perfect example of why. The arpeggio melody that comes in halfway through the track toward the main buildup is so brilliant. It really builds tension in such a cool way, completely without cheesy FX sounds and just by simply opening the filter on a kick-ass synth arpeggio. Bravo, Karmon.

Beckwith
PARA ONE & the South African Youth Choir “Elevation”
What an absolute jam. French disco meets gospel house, fresh for 2015. What else can you say?
Austin Welsh “With You”
Absolute modern classic from a really solid up-and-comer named Austin Welsh. Total secret weapon in my sets everyone tries to trainspot.
Lyndon Kidd “At the Drop of a Hat”
Warning: Certified late-night dancefloor destroyer here. Tested it myself in the dirtiest parts of Brooklyn, circa 7am. Has my stamp of approval.
Yotto “Azzurro”
Damn, what a banger! Definitely my favorite track of the year on Anjunadeep. This is such a tune.
Matt Lange “Scorched Earth Policy”
My homeboy Matt doing his techno thing. Devastating!
