Gee Dee is the moniker of NYC-based DJ and producer Gregory Droggitis. A resident DJ at Brooklyn’s Good Room and a routine player at Philadelphia’s long-running party, Making Time, Gee Dee’s left-of-center selections bring a variety of styles, tempos and countries of origin to the dance floor, easing freely between ambient, dub, oddball, new beat, house, techno and beyond.
2020 saw several releases from Gee Dee including his debut EP, ‘Ocean Walk’ on Superior Elevation and his follow-up EP, ‘Key Of Sea’ on Planet Trip, both distributed by Rush Hour. He released two club-ready remixes for Neil Frances’ “Coming Back Around” and an ambient take on the Slow Glass track, “Release”, put out by Light Of Other Days. His wide-ranging productions draw inspiration from various styles, molding analog hardware house music with ambient, dub and new age music.
