Based out of Tennessee, VLCN (pronounced Vulcan) is an unstoppable force in bass music. Known for his masterful genre-blending and monstrously heavy soundscapes, VLCN consistently delivers unforgettable experiences. His rendition of “Starfall” on Illenium’s latest self-titled remix album has become a fan favorite in his catalog, and is a nod in the direction the artist hopes to take, marrying his classic heavy soundscapes with emotionally driven and powerful lyricism. His most recent collaboration, “Afterglow” with ARMNHMR and Nevve is a testament to his adaptability as an artist, ushering in a new era of melodic and heavy hybrid tracks along with his classic headbanger anthems.

VLCN released his highly anticipated sophomore EP, “Galaxy Defense,” with Subsidia Records in June 2023 and features collaborations with LAYZ, AlienPark, and Dubscribe. The seven-track EP includes standout tracks like “MF” and “The Samurai,” which have received extensive support from Excision and Illenium, becoming fan favorites and live show staples. Both tracks were included in Illenium’s Lost Lands 2022 set on Apple Music; “MF” was also featured in Excision’s Lost Lands 2022 Compilation. To celebrate his EP release, VLCN played an accompanying 15-date tour across the US, including his Los Angeles debut as direct support for Sullivan King to a sold out crowd at Exchange LA.

The Tampa Bay native’s live performances have thrilled fans at Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, Imagine Music Festival, Sunset Music Festival, Picnic Royal, and more. His tracks have also been repped by Riot Ten, Dion Timmer, Kompany, LAYZ, ARMNHMR, Bear Grillz, Jessica Audiffred and DJ Diesel. The eclectic producer’s original music has amassed over 5 million streams across platforms, with tracks signed by Warner Records, Bassrush, Subsidia, Wakaan, Cyclops, Kannibalen, Wubaholics, Lowly, Rude Service and more.
