Tuff Culture Whips Out a Rugged Chunk of Bass House With “Tell Me”
Assimilation is the last thing on the mind of Tuff Culture. Rather than trying to fit in with the stereotypical structures commonly seen in bass music, the low-end aficionado has made it his personal mission to challenge the way we digest it. With his heart set on dispelling the notion that melodies and feelings are unwelcome in said space, he’s earned himself a seat among the most inventive UK artists coming up at the moment.
Later this month, he’s hooking back up with the Four 40 Records crew to further spread the word through his newest EP, Edification. Perhaps the most indicative of the happy medium he’s found between emotive and destructive arrives in the form of featured cut “Tell Me.” Striated with heavy deposits of skedaddling keys and gritty wobbles, the growling number shows Tuff Culture calling out to a sense of originality no one can touch.
Available July 25 via Four 40 Records.
