Commonwealth

There’s a good chance you’ll end up dancing in the upstairs patio to eclectic tracks from the resident DJ, but don’t overlook the downstairs bar area. The space boasts some serious cocktails and even a “secret room” with a separate cocktail list. This Freemont Street watering hole feels like the neighborhood bar you wish were around the corner. Since it’s not, take your time and don’t rush; the friendly atmosphere grows on you.

Park on Fremont

If you had a favorite aunt with a big backyard and a penchant for throwing huge, all-night family dinner parties, it would look a lot like Park on Fremont. This gastropub makes meeting new friends a breeze, and the center patio’s festively lit tree brings strangers together quicker than a flat-screen TV on Thanksgiving. The kitschy artifacts may seem like a bit much at first, but by the end of the evening, you’ll want your own collection of conversation pieces.

The Linq

The Linq is a can’t-miss entertainment district that boasts countless shopping, dining and drinking options. Its decidedly un-Vegas, open-air, pedestrian-friendly atmosphere is also home to the High Roller, the world’s largest observation wheel, standing at a towering 550 feet. The Bellagio Conservatory and Gardens

Take a leisurely stroll in this impressive free exhibit, and reset your soul while more than 100 horticulturists arrange flowers, trees and plants to celebrate the changing seasons. Get there between 10:30 and 11:30 am, and you can pose questions to the professionals that make these gardens one of the best things to see in Las Vegas.

Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian

The art of the cocktail is best experienced with a knowledgeable bartender. Ask for Max at Delmonico Steakhouse inside the Venetian, and have him make you a Grandiose Old Fashioned. Class in a glass is what he does best.

Wallworks at the Cosmopolitan

Sure it’s a parking garage, but you can see original pieces by contemporary artists Shepard Fairey, Retna, Kenny Scharf and Shinique Smith in this most unlikely of spaces. Appreciate graffiti as mural in an impressive display of urban street art.

Peppermill Fireside Lounge

It might be the waitresses in long evening gowns, or the oversized fireplace roaring nonstop, or the giant cocktails, or the deep leather booths, but the retro feel of the Peppermill has been bringing people in for decades. It’s old-school Las Vegas, baby!

Freakin’ Frog

Daily Kitchen & Wellness Bar
