MANIK’s Acid Lick “My Answer Is Moog”

Launched in 2015, Huxley’s UK label No Idea’s Original has been on a tear lately with well-received releases from underground house artists like Mr. G, Bodhi, Sage Caswell, and others.

The label’s latest release is a lowdown, dirty four-track EP, Omar’s Coming, from MANIK—who’s recently made appearances on Josh Wink’s Ovum, Poker Flat, and BPitch Control.

On our latest Track of the Day, “My Answer Is Moog,” the L.A.-based artist combines acid hooks with infectious synth stabs to create the perfect tech-house floor-filler.

“This release was heavily influenced by some of my favorite things like HBO’s The Wire, the classic Street Fighter video game, and a bunch of other little secrets,” he told Insomniac.
