Apollo 84’s Undeniable Tech Remix of Jey Kurmis’ “Es Est”
Jey Kurmis is making waves in the UK tech house scene. Following up his 2014 debut EP on Lee Foss and Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations label, the Englishman has continued to impress with a string of solid underground releases on respected labels like Moon Harbour, Kaluki, Leftroom, Repopulate Mars, and more.
Now on his latest track, “Es Est,” he delivers an energetic, bouncy tech-house jam that’s perfect for moving the peak-time masses. Then, Twisted Fusion label boss Apollo 84 steps up to add a low-slung groove to Kurmis’ signature warbling synth work. It’s undeniable in the mix.
“I really enjoyed remixing this, as I knew Jey’s style would give me great glitchy, choppy vocals to lay a groove over,” Apollo tells Insomniac. “I am really pleased with how it came out and the supports been great on it.”
