Rowee’s “Dharmony” Goes With the Balearic Tech House Flow
The concept of dharma has many meanings, often lost in translation. Using the term loosely, it means doing the right thing in accordance with the natural laws of the universe. Harmony is more straightforward—it is many sounds in pleasant sync. Rowee’s concept of “Dharmony,” then, could best be summed up as going with the sonic flow, something he manages with finesse on his new single by that name.
Building on a metronomic beat, the Italian producer (Leonardo Gonnelli) weaves a lilting keyboard melody and snippets of vocal echoes into a transcendent and Balearic tech house meditation—all of which feels right at home on Rebellion, the more adventurous and esoteric label spun off by Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels.
