Torren Foot Gives a Tougher Take on the Tropical Charm of “Paradise”

Earlier this month, the Sweat It Out! label in Australia dropped a rather tropical, summery-sounding record from Gold Coast boy Wongo, appropriately titled “Paradise” (reflecting the current shift into the warmer months Down Under). The Sweat It Out! crew were so impressed, they’ve prepared a hefty remix package, due to arrive this Friday. And we’re previewing one of the remixes on offer from fellow Australian Torren Foot.

From the outset, it’s clear that Torren Foot has taken a tougher path with his remix, turning down the summery vibes a little so he can swap them out for one hefty, gritty powerhouse of a bassline. That is, until he lets those vibes shine through a little again at the breakdown.
