Pulp Trax is the new musical offering of LA artist Troy Kurtz. Kurtz cut his teeth in Miami where he was the most in-demand young talent. He was called upon to be direct support for everyone from Richie Hawtin to Luciano at clubs like LIV and Space, and also performed at Ultra Music Festival in 2010 and held a residency at the infamous club Electric Pickle. He moved to LA shortly following the release of his esteemed 2012 EP as Kurtz & Bomber on John Digweed’s iconic Bedrock Records.
While in LA, he’s held esteemed music curatorial roles at Insomniac and Red Bull. His consummate taste and prowess behind the decks has seen him play in Barcelona, Bali, London, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Toronto.
In 2019, Coachella called upon Kurtz to play their inaugural speakeasy disco inside the festival grounds. In October, Insomniac invited Kurtz to perform on DJ Tennis’ Life & Death stage at Secret Project festival where he shared the stage with iconic artists like Ben UFO, Gerd Janson, and Jayda G.
Kurtz launched his debut EP on his Pulp Trax imprint in December 2020.
It is a a safe haven for the cosmic marriage of spacey landscapes, thumping grooves and euphoric highlights, with influences drawing from the pinnacles of early 2000’s house, italo disco, electro, breaks and techno.
Kurtz’s 3rd EP for the label ‘Plasmatics’ is an interstellar collaboration with LA artist Lubelski (Dirtybird, Crosstown Rebels, Desert Hearts).
