Eats Everything

Origin: United Kingdom

Eats Everything, aka Daniel Pearce, is at the forefront of a very rich history of talented DJ’s and Producers to come out of Bristol, England. The larger-than-life beat maker made a rapid and far- reaching impact on the electronic music scene in 2011 when the fittingly titled debut ‘Entrance Song’ was released on Catz N Dogz’ ‘Pets Recordings’ imprint, and the track went on to become championed by the likes of Carl Cox, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, and Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1.

His mashup of Tiga vs Audion’s ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ – humorously entitled ‘Dancing (Again!)’ – was one of the biggest breakthrough hits of 2015, and he was soon spinning his own unique take on one of the most iconic underground dance records of all time, Green Velvet’s ‘Flash’. Eats Everything has since become one of the most in demand remixers in the business, proving his remix abilities by adding the Midas touch across a wide range of tracks from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Niles Rodgers, Jamie Jones, Disclosure, Four Tet, Matador and Booka Shade.

After winning DJ Magazine’s ‘Best British DJ’, and becoming the only DJ ever to perform two BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes within the space of a year, Eats Everything debuted at #13 in Resident Advisor’s Top DJs poll during 2012. A technical wizard on the decks, his obsession with House, Techno and Disco shone through immediately, displaying the ‘studio geek’ inside the Bristolian, which led to him mixing the ‘Fries With That’ compilation on Hypercolour Records, launching it with a very special intimate Boiler Room set in Bristol at the beginning of 2015. Stepping things up a notch, he later took on one of the world’s most acclaimed mix series, fabric 86, in honour of the iconic London superclub – firmly cementing him as an underground DJ.

Always one to go with the moment rather than to meticulously plan out sets, it is this party-ready approach that saw him become a key member of the elrow family early on, playing for the world- famous Spanish brand as an all night resident during their Ibiza season, as well as at many of their major European festival stage takeovers and club nights. All this in addition to a continuing dizzy array of high- profile gigs; from Awakenings Festival, Movement Detroit, Kappa Futur Festival, Paradise DC10, Coachella to the Space Ibiza closing party, and his own personal favourite, Glastonbury, where his reputation as a local hero is set in stone. Now firmly established as one of the UK’s finest House and Techno exports, Eats Everything has more recently become a key part RESISTANCE, which is an integral component of the ULTRA Festival brand worldwide.

Regardless of his success, Eats Everything has stayed true to his roots, never forgetting where his story began, and aside from throwing parties for family, friends and his biggest fans, he has held three ‘Food For Thought’ lectures across schools in England, talking to inspired students about his musical journey and creative processes within the studio, having honed his skills since first obtaining a pair of decks at the age of 12. In addition, he became a firm advocate for the ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’ charity, aiding to provide safe clean water across Africa and India by performing very special NYE performances at The Nest and fabric in London, in honour of the organisation and donating all proceeds to the charity.

Making incredible music that resonates further than just the confines of underground House and Techno, the larger than life character is known for his confidence both on camera, and on radio, where his naturally gifted hosting skills have led to the headstrong producer garnering a reputation as the people’s champion. Following a hugely successful 12 month stint on the BBC Radio 1 Residency, Eats Everything was quickly appointed as a deputy host for Radio 1’s Dance specialist broadcasts, allowing his boisterous persona to shine through on the UK’s favourite station. His radio output doesn’t end there – whilst his globally syndicated weekly ‘Edible Beats’ radio show is now airing on over 70 FM stations around the world, stretching all the way from Argentina to Australia and everywhere in between, it was recently awarded best Electronic Music show and Listeners Choice for the 2018 Mixcloud radio awards.

His Edible imprint – a joint project with fellow Bristol music legend Nick Harris – continues to go from strength to strength, releasing standout tracks from the likes of Skream, Paul Woolford, Waze & Odyssey, Eats Everything himself and newcomers like Alex Virgo. With Edible now 15 releases in, the label continues delivering high quality House, Techno and Disco influenced records that resonate broadly and with a respective nod to its past.

This year sees Eats Everything launch his new A.T.E alias and event series as he looks to diversify his musical output through a combination of live branded shows, a brand new record label in collaboration with Spanish Techno hero Andres Campo, entitled EI8HT, which also provides him a platform to release no-nonsense European techno with a British twist, and to sign music from his globally renowned peers.

With 2018 already shaping up to be the biggest and best year so far in the meteoric rise of Eats Everything, the Bristolian native has a range of solid new music soon to be released on Carl Cox’s infamous INTEC imprint, which is a huge honour for him and says “Carl’s always been a childhood hero of mine, and a really great moment in my life was when I got to play at the Discoteca in Space before him”, Dense & Pika’s fledgling Kneaded Pains, along with remixes for Tiga’s “You’re So Special” on Turbo and an ‘Eats Rebeef’ of Size 9’s classic “I’m Ready” on Josh Wink’s legendary OVUM, proving Eats Everything to be one of the most consistent premiere names on the scene.
