20 for ‘17: Flux Pavilion
Upcoming Event
Joshua Kierkegaard G. Steele, otherwise known as Flux Pavilion, is a man with a big name—and even bigger aspirations. Launching from Towcester (UK) to drop on Insomniac’s year-end frenzyfest Countdown, Steele is the type of diverse, ever-evolving talent who isn’t afraid of the studio. He could well be reflected upon as a paragon of the modern DJ/producer on the high and volatile seas of electronic music. In fact, if EDM were a pirate ship, it would be Flux’s smiling visage on the battleflag, between the crossbones, instead of the ol’ humdrum skull. Or we could use an X-ray of his head. That would be cool, too, though maybe not as immediately identifiable.
You get my “drift.”
Diverse. Varied. Attacking on many fronts, et cetera. How many ardent fans/disciples of the Prodigy do youknow that have produced music for Walt Disney? Well. Now you know one. He’s been riding the waves on his distinctly named tour, Around the World in 80 Raves, and he continues to belt out winners on the dubstep, bass, and trap tips for his Circus label. Of recent note is his throwdown ft. Turin Brakes, “Cut Me Out,” (given the remix via Orkid). Chiggity check it.
Meanwhile, come aboard and enjoy the bountiful booty of Flux Pavilion’s 20 for ‘17. 2 0 1 7. Consider it a primer on one of the bright boys who’ll assist in burning it all away at Countdown.
Look for a coupon for a free eyepatch at the end.
