If you didn’t already believe we attract a global audience of Headliners at EDC Las Vegas, you will now. From Singapore to South Africa, New Zealand to Denmark, and nearly everywhere in between, our Headliners represent a world of diversity and culture.

So far, fans attending EDC Vegas 2016 represent a whopping 41 countries, four continents and 32 languages. Headliners are flying into Las Vegas from destinations as far as Indonesia, and as remote as Anchorage, Alaska. They’re coming from the luscious coasts of Costa Rica, from the rolling green hills of Austria, and from the windswept cliffs of Ireland. They’re journeying from the pristine lakes of Switzerland, from the rainforests of Guatemala, and from the sun-kissed islands of Guam. And they’re all coming to have the absolute time of their lives Under the Electric Sky.

In the first of this ongoing series, we meet international Headliner Dhruv Satija. He and his wife will be one of a few groups of Headliners coming to the festival from New Delhi, India, and he’s answered a few questions for us in preparation for his trip.

What made you decide to come to EDC Las Vegas? Is this your first time going?
Yes, this is the first time going to EDC. My wife and I love the festival atmosphere, and we love EDM. It’s also our honeymoon.

What part of the experience are you most excited for?
The things we’re most excited for are the lights, the sounds, the energy, the music, and just the general atmosphere of such a huge festival.

Who are you coming with? Do you know any other groups coming from New Delhi?
I’m going to be traveling with my wife and another couple.

How does electronic music in India compare to the music at EDC?
India is huge when it comes to electronic music festivals. There are two festivals that happen in Goa at New Year’s, and there are small, half-day festivals happening all year round. All the major mainstream artists have come to India to perform and love playing here. The festival scene here is still building up but not that far away from being one of the major venues in the world.
