Awesome People We Met on Day 2 of EDC Las Vegas 2015

There’s nothing like watching thousands of Headliners streaming down the steps of the Speedway, screaming, dancing, smiling, crying tears of joy, and wearing a truly stunning array of festival wear. It was immediately apparent how much energy, effort and enthusiasm everyone in attendance had put into prepping for the show, and how excited all y’all were to finally arrive. We were similarly stoked to kick off day two of this grand fiesta.

These are some of the awesome people we met on day two of EDC Las Vegas 2015.

How would you describe EDC to someone who’s never been here before? This is the coolest place in the world. Anybody from any walk of life can come here and just feel the greatest feeling of acceptance and love you’ve ever felt in your life.
What was your favorite part about yesterday? The spinning jungle gym has to be my favorite thing.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been before? Life-changing, really. It’s the people.
What was your favorite part about yesterday? The people in general were all super nice and super friendly. Everyone was loving each other and life in general.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been before?
Rosie: Feeling. Even for me, who’s not as into it, I just had this amazing feeling in my chest.
Janette: I’ve always wanted to come, so my mom surprised me for my 21st birthday with tickets here. I started crying.
What was your favorite part about yesterday?
Janette: Getting in and seeing the stage. It was like, “Oh my god.”

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been before? EDC is a magical place. I think you honestly have to be here to experience what it really has to offer: heart and soul. It’s just a completely different feel from everything else in the world.
What was your favorite part about yesterday? kineticFIELD. We were out raging and going crazy. Kaskade was my favorite.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been before? You’ve definitely got to be here. I know that’s pretty cliché to say, but I can tell you all these stories, but you just have to come here and experience it for yourself.
What was your favorite part about yesterday? Just being back at EDC. I wasn’t going to come because of work, and I bought my ticket three weeks ago because I knew I had to come back here.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been: It’s a creative, imaginative place. Just be yourself and show other people what you can create.
What was your favorite part from Day 1: The costumes, the lights and the sounds. It’s like going to Disneyland but better. I loved Carl Cox; he was awesome!

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been: It has to be experienced to be understood. It’s idiosyncratic.
What was your favorite part from Day 1: Seeing all the new stage designs in person. The new neonGARDEN gives me a bit of a boner. I loved bassPOD last year with the pyramid, and I feel like that’s kind of a continuation of the same idea.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been before? Big, vibrant, colorful, a good time. I love that everyone is here to party and that everyone is here to support each other—good vibes all around.
What was your favorite part about yesterday? Definitely Yellow Claw at circutGROUNDS. I really like how they changed circutGROUNDS from last year. The VIP area was really nice, too; I loved that it was right in front, right there by the stage—it was awesome.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been before? Honestly, it’s like wonderland. EDC is a place you can come and be whoever you want to be. For some people, I feel like it’s their time to be their true self for the first time and discover something deeper about themselves. Over the past five years that I’ve been coming to EDC, I have become a more open person.
What was your favorite part about yesterday? Meeting up with all my friends, checking out the new layout, and feeling all the good vibes that are always here.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been: It’s a land of paradise. There’s freedom. You can come however you want. No one is ever going to judge you, and you’ll always find someone to dance with.
What was your favorite part from yesterday? Carnage’s set over at circuitGROUNDS. We dressed as Seattle Seahawks. We found another group from Seattle, and there were like 10 of us going super hard. It was awesome.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been: Stimulating. Really stimulating. If you live your 9-to-5, boring, everyday, have to be a fit-in citizen, when you come in here, it’s just a stimulating experience to let loose. And when you’re here, you’re accepted and you’re free.
What was your favorite part from yesterday? Kaskade. I’ve been into him since I was 15. And seeing that again, seeing some of his old songs! And Moby! That’s my ideal: going back to where raves were raves.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been: Life-changer. You can be yourself, and you can express anything you want. This is just a place of freedom.
What was your favorite part from yesterday? Enjoying the music, the freedom of expression, and enjoying meeting new people all the time. Everybody here is for fun, for love, and to spread the music and everything.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been?
Sarah: You gotta go to find out.
Sean: Exactly.
What was your favorite part from yesterday?
Sean: Fatboy Slim. He was out of control. You could tell he’s done this for so long. He’s that good that you could tell he really knows how to get a crowd dancing, actually. It’s not about dropping that beat or whatever. He knows how to get people to dance, which was appreciated.

How would you describe EDC to someone who has never been:
Luka: I would describe EDC as a world that there’s no judgment. You can come in peace, and you just realize that you don’t need to be stressing the different things of the world. The world that you create is your own reality.
Marikka: It’s a great place to express yourself, and everybody’s friendly. We picked up a couple lost people and included them in our group. It’s somewhere where everybody feels the love and loves each other.
What was your favorite part from yesterday?
Marikka: Going on the Ferris wheel, being able to go up and see all the lights. I actually got to meet somebody who does the lasers at bassPOD, so I got to play with those.
Luka: My favorite part about yesterday was actually going up with my sister onto bassPOD and seeing it from behind the scenes, seeing how they feed off the energy of the crowd.
