Blasterjaxx Had a Brush with the Paranormal?
When Thom Jongkind approached Idir Makhlaf in 2012 about working together, neither knew how far the project would go. Just two years later, it’s clear that Blasterjaxx is just getting started. Last year was a big one for the Dutch duo as they entered the DJ Mag Top 100 poll at #71. They’ve also collabed with world #1 Hardwell on “Fifteen” and released tunes on Tiësto’s Music Freedom label, as well as Laidback Luke’s Mixmash imprint. This year is shaping up to be equally memorable, as Thom and Idir have already hit the Beatport #1 not once, not twice, but three times. You’ll need to head over to their Facebook page for their latest release, “Vision,” which will be given out once they reach 1 million likes. Get clicking, people! And in the meantime, read their Insomniac Five below:

Have you ever had a brush with the paranormal or supernatural?
Thom & Idir: Hell, yeah! In Thom’s old student room, we had some weird stuff going on: flying jackets, televisions that turned themselves on and put the volume to the max in the middle of the night, and moving plates in the kitchen, just to name a few.
First album purchased with your own money?
Thom: Tiësto’s Parade of the Athletes.
