DJ Vice Dishes on Mexican Food
If you’re in L.A. and craving real Mexican cuisine (and no, Chipotle doesn’t count), give DJ Vice a call. The born-and-raised Angeleno knows his food, and chances are he’ll tell you to head over to King Taco. How does he know it’s legit? Because of the cockroaches and horchata in glass jars, he explains. Vice grew up in Eagle Rock (and no, not the hipster Eagle Rock of today) and has never wanted to be anywhere else. “Tommy’s Burgers kept me alive and fat through my childhood,” he fondly recalls. His favorite King Taco in on 3rd Street in East LA, and it’s especially savory when eaten while drunk or hungover. DJ Vice combined his love of music and food by sharing with us a playlist that brings back the experience of eating at King Taco.
