Nocturnal Wonderland is fast approaching, and that means all of you lucky folks who will be camping at San Manuel during the festival are starting to pack up your supplies and prepare yourselves for three days of tented revelry.

It’s going to be a tremendously good time, and camping on-site is sure to make the weekend all the more special. To make sure your camping experience is as smooth as possible, take some time to educate yourself on everything you need to know about camping at Nocturnal.

Here’s the 411:

Packing for the Festival
Make sure you clean out your car before you depart and remove anything that could be used as a weapon, such as baseball bats, golf clubs, tools, and hunting equipment. That stuff isn’t allowed in, and if you have it in your car, you won’t be either. Make sure to check your trunk and make sure you have only what you need for the weekend; this will also decrease the time it takes to have your car searched on the way in. While you’re on the road to Nocturnal, download the Nocturnal Wonderland 2015 app and enable camping-related push notifications to stay notified of important health and safety updates.

Arriving at Nocturnal
Arrive early to avoid long wait times at camping check-in and maximize your fun. When you arrive at the campground, your car will be searched by security and you will be met by good people of Ground Control. In order to get you into the campground as quickly as possible, make sure you haven’t brought any prohibited items. These include glass bottles, hard liquor, marijuana (including medical marijuana), drugs, and drug parapernalia. All prescription or over the counter medication must be in it’s original container, must not be expired and have the prescription label attached, if applicable. (For questions or concerns regarding medicines, please email [email protected]) For 21+ attendees, one case of canned beer or one case of boxed wine per person will be allowed.

No metal tools are allowed in the campground, so make sure to bring plastic utensils, plastic mallets, and plastic spikes for setting up your tent. You’re definitely going to need sunscreen and lip balm throughout the weekend; make sure both of these items are sealed upon entry. And remember, there’s no swimming in the lake.

While we’re on the topic, why don’t you go ahead and check out the complete list of prohibited items. Scroll down to see the list. Go ahead, we’ll wait!

GA Campsite FAQ
If you’re camping in GA and want to camp with your friends in the same camping plot, you must all arrive in the same vehicle. If you’re car camping, campsites are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it’s likely, but not guaranteed, that you will be able to camp near each other.

For all y’all that are tent camping, there is a five-person limit for each tent camping spot. If you have more than five people in your group, you will have to buy an additional tent camping pass. We strongly advise against moving your car from the tent camping lot. If you move your car, there is no guarantee that your spot will be open when you return. Also, if you end up having to park in a general lot, your car is subject to tow if left overnight

For those of you who are car camping, the number of campers allowed is equal to the number of seatbelts in your vehicle.

Official campsite check-in hours:
•    Thursday, September 3: 5pm–12am
•    Friday, September 4: 9am–7pm
•    Saturday, September 5: 9am–7pm
•    Sunday, September 6: 9am–7pm

During the Festival
The camping area will offer free charging stations and free water stations. Score! Rental lockers will be available in the Moonlight Grove central area of the campground, so you can secure any valuables you don’t want to keep in your car. Ice will be available for purchase at the General Store, which is open 24 hours throughout the weekend. We recommend bringing your own food so you can snack any time the hunger strikes, and there will also be options to purchase food in the campground. Please note that you can’t take food from the campground into the festival.

Pro-tip: All tents can look the same after a long night at the festival, so be sure to drop a pin at your site before heading into Nocturnal. This way, you can easily make your way back to home base when you’re done with the show. For your safety and the safety of others, you may not move your car from car camping. If you must leave early, you will be escorted out, and you will not be able to come back in. There is no vehicle movement from 2 am to 6 am, even when the event ends at 2am on Monday morning.

And yes, the waterpark will be OPEN!

Ticket Info: General Admission Campers
If your festival ticket and camping pass were ordered separately, then they will arrive separately. If they were ordered at the same time, they should arrive together, but there is a chance that they will still arrive separately, so don’t fret. You may use your mobile ticket to enter the campground, but please bring your paper ticket as a backup! Campers can go in and out of the festival to the campground, but you will be subject to search upon entry both going into the festival as well as going back into the campground.

Heads Up, Premier Campers!
Premier Campers will enter through Gate 1, at a separate entrance from General Admission. Every Premier Camping pass is good for four nights, but if you are unable to attend all four nights, camping check-in will be made available for two- and three-night campers. If you need to make other check-in arrangements, please contact [email protected].

While you cannot park your car next to your tent, the concierge will transport your belongings to your tent with a golf cart. Nice, right? Your car will be very close to your campsite, but if needed, the concierge can take you to your car any time over the weekend. Hammocks, small propane grills, and lawn chairs are all allowed at the campsites for maximal weekend relaxation.
