head·lin·er ˈhed-ˌlī-nər noun – One who is the primary attraction of an event and given prominent billing; a star; YOU

If Headliner Eduardo Cobos looks familiar to you, that’s because you’ve probably seen him around. Up against the front railing of the main stage at Beyond Wonderland Bay Area? He was there. Maybe you met him at Nocturnal or traded kandi with him at Escape? If he was wearing white, chances are it was White Wonderland. Let’s just say he makes the rounds.

Not only has he attended EDC Vegas and all five of our Wonderland festivals in California, he’s also a regular at Create and Insomniac’s other L.A. club nights. What was the past year like for this well-traveled Headliner? We caught up with Eduardo to find out!

Electronic music is like our universe, constantly expanding and always changing, yet still managing to retain its impressive beauty!

How does it feel being one of the most active Headliner of 2013?
It’s an incredible feeling, being part of one huge family, dancing Under the Electric Sky and united by the love of music and art! I look forward to being a Headliner for many more years to come!

What was your favorite festival experience this past year?
Do I have to choose just one? They were all so incredible and ridiculously fun in their own unique way. One moment that does stand out is when I went up to San Francisco for Beyond Wonderland Bay Area. Unfortunately, none of my friends from SoCal or NorCal could make it, so I busted a solo mission. On Sunday, I was at the very front of the main stage, Queen’s Domain. A rave family approached me and said that they recognized me. I was shocked! Over 300 miles from home and they know me?! Turns out that they remembered me from EDC Vegas earlier this year! It was awesome. We all stuck together after that, looked out for one another and made sure we all stayed hydrated. For that day, we were one big family!

Do you remember your first Insomniac show?
Beyond Wonderland 2012 in San Bernardino. I remember being nervous and intimated by the sheer magnitude of the event, but once I stepped inside, any worries I had disappeared. Everyone was so friendly and easy-going! What I remember most was that it was the first time I became acquainted with Nervo. I was at the Caterpillar’s Garden, waiting for Steve Aoki to come on. Nervo was one of the acts before him so I decided to hang out at that stage. Within the first five minutes of Nervo’s set, I was very impressed! I’ve been a dedicated fan ever since and I’ve seen them a total of six times! The last time I saw them was in June at Create.

What do you love about dance music?
The variety. When I first fell in love with electronic music years ago, I was only familiar with trance. Little by little, I grew fond of house, then dubstep, and now I’m liking hardstyle more and more. On top of that, there are so many subgenres to explore. Electronic music is like our universe, constantly expanding and always changing, yet still managing to retain its impressive beauty!

Do you dress up?
No, I don’t. I’m somewhat of a shy guy so I’m not bold enough to dress up yet. I do love seeing other people’s outfits, though. It is motivating me little by little to dress up. I’m sure I’ll do it very soon!

A big thank you to Eduardo and all the other Headliners out there…
