Here’s What 10 Headliners Look Like When They’re Not at Festivals: EDC Las Vegas Edition

Every June, hundreds of thousands of people journey from around the world to unite Under the Electric Sky, coming together to celebrate the most highly anticipated dance music festival of our time: EDC Las Vegas. While some venture from places as far as Australia, Dubai and South Africa, many reside much closer. This week, we’re celebrating #TransformationTuesday with 10 Headliners who call Las Vegas home year-round.
 

Headliner: Ariel
Profession: Pediatric nursing student

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
I love EDC Las Vegas because it feels like a home away from home. Every year, Insomniac brings something new to the table that never fails to amaze me. I’ve been to many music festivals, but the feeling I get and the happiness I see within others at EDC Las Vegas is unique and unexplainable. No matter where you’re from or where you’re headed, EDC has a way of bringing people together.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
My first EDC was definitely a culture shock for me, but it will always be one of the greatest weekends of my life. Those who attended EDC had such an appreciation for love, art, music and life, that it inspired me even more to work toward my dream of becoming a nurse. Every time I attend EDC Las Vegas, I feel at peace.

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
It’s a really great experience and place to go to forget about everything bad in life while listening to your favorite music. I love this experience because I get to meet great people from all over the world with the same musical interests as me. I love sharing amazing vibes with them in our own world.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
When I first experienced EDC, all of the amazing things I had the chance to see and do overwhelmed me. I fell in love with the people and how friendly and open everyone is. Thanks to EDC, I fell in love with raving and since then, I can’t stop attending all of the amazing events Insomniac puts together.

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
When you first walk through those gates, the atmosphere just takes your breath away. Insomniac events provide an environment that allows me to lose myself with the music and have fun with all of my friends!

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
My first EDC Las Vegas was amazing because I connected with everyone’s vibes and grew closer to everyone, even strangers. P.S. The music was epic!

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
EDC Las Vegas definitely has a special place in my heart, because it was the first music festival I ever went to, and it showed me a whole new world that allows every single person to truly be themselves. The positive atmosphere is overwhelming in the best way. I feel like it gave me a more optimistic outlook on life as a whole.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
My first EDC was in 2013 and was definitely one of the craziest times of my life, but also one of the best. Being surrounded by amazing music and such a loving environment made me realize how astounding it is that music can bring people from all around the world together to make memories we’ll never forget.

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
I love EDC Las Vegas because it allows everyone to completely drop all societal expectations and be exactly who they want to be.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
I was amazed by how big the festival was and how many people traveled from all over around the world just to be at this one event. I even met some girls from Sweden and still have the kandi they gave me!

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
EDC is the biggest and best of the festivals that I go to every year. Coming from someone who likes all genres of music, getting to see the top electronic producers alongside the best production is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also enjoy that the festival is in my hometown, because it means I have more friends at EDC than any of the other festival I attend.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
My first EDC really changed my career path. It turned my hobby of listening to dance music into something I wanted to be a part of. In turn, it helped me decide to move into the nightlife industry, which is where I’m happy to be today.

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
I love this festival because of the experience. For three nights in a row, it feels like you step into a different, better world.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
EDC Las Vegas 2014 was my first rave. It affected me by introducing me to something amazing that I have never seen before!

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
I love EDC because of the energy and excitement it brings each year. I enjoy meeting new people there and interacting with random strangers that become awesome friends for the night. The music and artists brought me nonstop enjoyment that I quickly came to love.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
When I first went to EDC Las Vegas, I didn’t know what to expect. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I honestly had a great time and got hooked to EDC immediately. I’ve been going ever since.

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
I love this event because of the love and energy you feel from the second you step foot inside the Speedway! It’s a world that brings out the best in everyone. If everyone acted like the people who go to EDC, the world would be a much better place.

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
My first EDC changed my life, and there really is no other way to describe that special first experience! Honestly, you’ll catch me at EDC even when I’m 50 years old!

Why do you love EDC Las Vegas?
I love this festival because of the vibes. Everyone is so kind and warm-hearted (and not just because of the heat!). I always love the lineup and being able to see all of my favorite DJs in one epic weekend!

What effect did your first EDC Las Vegas have on you?
My first rave ever was EDC Las Vegas 2012; I loved dressing up and dancing to my favorite songs with my friends! It’s the one weekend where you can actually be yourself with no one judging you. It affected me so much, I’ve been going back every year since then!
