Here’s What 6 Headliners Look Like When They’re Not at Festivals
We all journey down different paths in our daily lives. Some of us work at aquariums; others are diesel technicians, warehouse clerks and restaurant supervisors, to name a few. When we venture to a festival, however, we remove our costumes and transform into truer versions of ourselves, meeting in a world that allows us to leave all our worries (and boring-ass clothes) behind.
Insomniac celebrates #TransformationTuesday by asking six unique Headliners to discuss their lives in and out of the festival.
Headliner: Amanda S.

If you could go to one Insomniac event, what would it be, and why?
My first festival was Electric Forest, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. That said, I have always wanted to attend EDC Las Vegas, which I believe is the Mecca of our world. We should all attend at least once, for two reasons: A) It’s Las Vegas, aka the biggest adult playground in the world, and B) EDC events are always so well executed that it makes for the perfect festival experience. The visuals, the sets, and the performers are mind-blowing!

Escape! I’ve been to EDC, so changing the atmosphere would be amazing—especially during Halloween, when you can dress up and be part of the whole holiday scene. It’s like being a child again and going trick-or-treating for your first time. It’ll be an exciting new challenge—an entirely new world for me!
Headliner: Kari S.
Age: 25
Hometown: Hawthorne, CA
Occupation: Guest services at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific

If you could go to one Insomniac event, what would it be, and why?
I would love to go to Dreamstate, because I love trance and have yet to go to an all-trance event—and I’ve been raving since 2008. It’s definitely on my bucket list!
Headliner: Robert M.

Definitely EDC Japan! I love the idea of being on the other side of the world, in a place I’ve never been, with people I’ve never met. It would be amazing to experience new things and meet new people.
Headliner: Danny L.

I would love to go to EDC Japan. At EDC Las Vegas, I saw three Japanese girls dressed up as Goku. They seemed so excited to see me, so my rave family and I stopped to mingle with them. They were all sweethearts and very respectful. I have a feeling EDC Japan’s vibes and PLUR would be amazing.
Headliner: Sirinya W.

I would love to visit Dreamstate one day! quantumVALLEY [at EDC Las Vegas 2017] was such a happy place when I needed some positive vibes. EDC was my second rave; Countdown was my first. I loved the different stages and the smaller venue. The best part of it all was that my boyfriend asked me out right before midnight. Now that I’ve got my forever rave buddy, you can say we’ve got a lot more Insomniac events ahead of us.
