Here’s What 6 Headliners Look Like When They’re Not at Festivals

We all journey down different paths in our daily lives. Some of us work in candy stores; others are brand ambassadors, nannies, or cyber security analysts, to name a few. When we venture to a festival, however, we remove our costumes and transform into truer versions of ourselves, meeting in a world that allows us to leave all our worries (and boring-ass clothes) behind.

Halloween allows people get to express themselves freely through costumes—even more so than at other events throughout the year. There’s also great music with some of the world’s most amazing DJs, and you get to take it all in with people of different cultures, races, ages, and religions. When I go to raves, I enjoy finding random ravers and giving them the opportunity to meet their favorites DJs. It’s the most rewarding thing ever. This will be my first year at Escape. Once I go, I’ll have been to all the festivals in California!

In one weekend, you can experience immersive theater with incredible set design and characters, or you can be front and center at your favorite DJ’s set with your best friends! It’s the ultimate fun house to pick your own adventure, and you have two whole days to explore the grounds, ride the rides, meet the clowns, and allow yourself to get lost in one of the most creative events crafted to surprise.

Insomniac knows how to throw one hell of a spooky party! This year, Escape is offering diverse talent to get down and boogie to, especially at Cannibals’ Tea Party. Dark bass beats all night long? YES, PLEASE! Also, it’s Halloween! Nobody dresses up like us Headliners do.

Going to an awesome music festival is literally how I would love to spend my Halloween! The lineup at Escape is awesome, and any theme Insomniac comes out with is always so lit. This event is definitely a must-do on my festivals list!

I began attending dance music festivals about seven years ago and started performing at them about four years ago. Escape is perfect because it has a little something for everyone. Between haunted houses, circus activities, roaming characters to reel you in (I’ll be there to haunt!) and, of course, the music, you truly can’t help but have a good time. This event allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit—and what more is there to love?!

I love how all of the rooms are filled with terror, and there are multiple stages booming with mad beats. You won’t miss out on your favorite artists, and you’ll even discover some new ones! I love dressing up, seeing all the costumes, and spotting my fellow ravers in their truer form!
