Shadow Child Has the Summer Vibes on Lock With These 5 Joints
Summer is going to flash by faster than a strobe light that’s giving you everything it has got. My advice: Get weird while the getting is good. But whatever ways you have for filling out your days, don’t be that person whose playlist is a total and utter flop.
Shadow Child is someone who always seems to do it for me. Slipping on his stuff always turns out to be masterstroke at spicing up any situation. The UK producer hits the boiling point with every bit he bangs out—whether it’s his own work or the items he signs off on for his Food Music imprint—which is why he has me going gaga at the five sun-kissed joints he’s about to throw at you below. You’ll see exactly what I mean soon enough.
Ashworth “Cork”
Special one from Ashworth—all his stuff is dope, but this is a proper summer one. It’s a journey with pure Balearic vibes.
Bodhi “Haute”
Beautiful stuff from Bodhi—amazingly well crafted, laid-back house music from Wales’ finest. Always excited to hear what’s next from them, and this didn’t disappoint!
KDA “Rumble” (Shadow Child re-edit)
I had a hand in this one, but all credit goes to KDA for creating this infectious monster. I’ve heard it’s a love it/hate it one, which is a bit harsh. It just grooves and hypnotizes so well.
Groove Armada “Paris” (Andhim remix)
This is one of the most stunning records I’ve heard for a while. There are always a few around, but this truly ticks so many boxes and proves that Andhim are ones we should all continue to be excited about.
Shadow Child & Ben Pearce ft. Laurel “Nothing Ever Hurts”
Hard not to put this on here, but it’s a joint effort, so forgive me for big-upping my collaborators on this. For me, I’ve always been aware that my Shadow Child project is about far more than big party tunes. I want to bring big moments in whatever form, and I hope everyone is as excited as us about this one.
