Ardalan’s Acid Noir “Escape in Acid”

Last year, Dirtybird cofounder Christian Martin launched his own signature underground label, Trippy Ass Technologies. Now, in 2018, the Bay Area–based boss has turned to another Dirtybird collaborator for their eighth release.

Today’s Track of the Day, Ardalan’s “Escape in Acid,” is a raw, raucous acid lick that delivers distorted drums and futuristic, funky drizzle for the late-night dancefloor.

“My inspiration for this one came when I borrowed Justin Martin’s Roland TB-303 for the day,” Ardalan tells Insomniac. “At the same time, I wanted to give the track a classic 1940s film noir theme. So there’s a dark, mysterious undertone combined with the raw acid sound.”
