Diego Melgar is a musician recognized for his dynamic style. Echoing his experience as a first-generation immigrant, Diego bridges different musical cultures within Miami and beyond through genre-bending hybrid live-electronic sets, fusing his years of performing jazz and gospel music with the innovations of Miami’s electronic music scene.
Diego’s nearly decade-long career has led him to perform with Lauren Jauregui, Michael Tilson Thomas, Suzi Analouge, and to open for other iconic artists such as Khruangbin, Flo Rida, Robert Glasper, Flying Lotus, Common, and Deantoni Parks. Currently, Diego runs a concert series at Floyd Miami called Pachamanca featuring new compositions and a rotating cast of Miami music all-stars. His latest release “Falling Forward” is available on Bandcamp as well as all streaming services.
