DJ Ressie Cups
Origin: None
I’ve been Djing for over 10 years. My musical influence goes back to summer stays at my grandmothers where she used to play BB King, Mahalia Jackson, James Brown, and many others. I was a singer and musician for most of my life, before I was a DJ. Crossing over to be a DJ was just a natural transition for me. I fell in love with the rhythmic beats and began to immulate them when playing my bass guitar. I attribute my cultural background to growing up in different cities across the country. Traveling has introduced me to many genres of music and developed my eclectic style of DJing.
I am always asked how did I get my DJ name. My nickname has always been Ressie, and my favorite candy in the world is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. When I started DJing it just made sense to infuse my two loves, and be called “DJ Ressie Cups”.
I currently DJ in Central Florida and Atlanta, Ga. I host Wedding Parties and Ceremonies, Birthday Celebrations, Cultural Celebrations, Business Events, and Night Clubs.
I’ve had the pleasure of djing for and opening up for likes of artist such as Nina Sky, Kat Deluna, Khia, Diamond from Crime Mob, Strizzo, Kash Doll, Mariah Lynn, 69 Boyz, Ying Yang Twins, Monifa, Syleena Johnson, Frankie Negron, Sir Speedy, Frenchie Davis, Cazwell, and Neon Hitch. As well as many reality stars from the WWE, Bravo, LOGO, VH1, BET, Oxygen, and Youtube.
My goal is to travel the world representing women in music as a DJ that can represent any culture and genre of music.
