Seoul based producer and DJ, JuniorChef, born Juneseok Lee, made his debut as part of the ‘Cohort Crew’ in 2013 with the song “Helium.” In 2015, while working as the main producer of Keith Ape, he produced the biggest Asian hip-hop track to date, “It G Ma,” which has accumulated over 65 million views on YouTube.
The international success of “It G Ma” featuring Kohh, Loota, Okasian and JayAllDay – which translates to “Never Forget” – and “It G Ma (remix)” featuring Waka Flocka, A$AP Ferg, Father and Dumbfoundead, propelled JuniorChef’s career worldwide. He’s produced for international superstar Jay Park, Korean hip-hop icon Dok2, and Japan’s biggest rapper, Kohh. His collaboration track “Benz (remix)” with Finesseboy featuring KnowKnow of Higher Brothers and E-SO, has racked up over 1.6 million views on YouTube.
As an artist, JuniorChef’s debut single “Wake Up” featuring Young Jasper, was premiered on ‘No Jumper’ in 2018. In 2019, JuniorChef signed a record deal with the Jay Park led powerhouse hip-hop label ‘AOMG,’ and has since released singles “Pop Star” featuring J $tash, and “TSUGI” featuring Young Coco, a rising Japanese rapper. In 2015, Junior Chef made his DJ debut by playing at the highly touted ‘SXSW’ festival in Austin, Texas.
Following this trajectory, in 2018 he played at some of the biggest festivals in the world, ‘World DJ Festival’ , ‘World Club Dome’ and ‘UMF Korea.’
On a more regular basis, he DJ’s at ‘The Henz Club’, the most culturally innovative club in Seoul. Due to his growing status in the hip-hop scene, he was personally invited to make appearances DJing at events hosted by ‘Kitsune’, a famous French clothing brand, and ‘Boiler Room’, in Tokyo with Tokyo Vitamin.
Recently, he went on tour with artists such as Smokepurpp, Lil Yachty, A$AP Rocky and opened for them for their Asia tour in cities all over Asia.
In 2019, JuniorChef played at Cosmic Beach in ‘EDC Japan,’ alongside his legends Diplo, Yultron and Jay Park.
