Lara Klart’s musical journey, currently based in Miami, Florida, began at the early age of 10, deeply influenced by the musical heritage instilled by her mother and sister, which traces back to her maternal grandfather, a fundamental figure in her family’s legacy.
Her entry into the world of musical competitions on national television in Ecuador, coupled with her early involvement as a backing vocalist in a rock band at the age of 14, highlighted her broad musical spectrum. Her musical influences range from Bolero, Tango, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Rap, Trance, Flamenco, Classical Music, to Salsa. These formative experiences contributed to her musical talent and composition skills, allowing her to develop a deep understanding of these different musical styles, which ultimately led her to create a unique hybrid style within electronic music.
At 16, Lara’s immersion into the world of electronic music blossomed as she took on roles as a promoter in nightclubs and electronic music festivals in Ecuador. Her international debut came on the main stage of Dreamfields Mexico, where she shared the spotlight with electronic music giants such as Tiesto, Alesso, Oliver Heldens, Vini Vici, Timmy Trumpet, among others. In 2019, Lara made her first appearance at Ultra Music’s “Resistance” festival in San José, Costa Rica, performing alongside prominent techno figures like Adam Beyer and Charlotte De Witte. This catapulted her to perform in numerous countries across Latin America and Europe.
Since 2017, Lara has navigated through various musical genres (House, Deep House, Melodic Techno, Psytrance, Hard and Acid Techno), always maintaining her commitment to the underground and melodic elements that define her artistic ethos. Today, Lara Klart defines herself as a hybrid DJ and producer, blending and producing Psytrance, Techno, Neo Techno, and Hard-Trance Techno. Her musical journey has been further enriched by collaborations with Todd Terry, Giorgia Angiuli, and releases on renowned labels such as Artcore Records, founded by acclaimed DJ-producer Indira Paganotto, Terminator Records, founded by Todd Terry and Alexander Technique, Chlore by Spartaque, and Janus Rekordz, her own label established in January 2024.
In both 2019 and 2024, Lara composed the official soundtracks for the prestigious Ecuadorian beauty pageant organization CNB, which include “Miss Mundo Ecuador” and “Miss Universo Ecuador,” events broadcast on national television in Ecuador.
Throughout her career, Lara has been a staunch advocate for philanthropic causes, leveraging the power of electronic music to support charitable initiatives, a commitment that has led to numerous appearances on national television and at conferences in universities and charitable institutions across Ecuador.
