Matt Medved
Origin: United States
Matt Medved is a musical chameleon who has never shied from sharing his sounds with the five continents he’s lived on. Raised on poetry and prose in New York, where he currently heads Billboard’s dance/electronic music department as the founder of digital vertical Billboard Dance, he now fuses his songwriting with house and world music elements inspired by his time spent in creative cities like Berlin, Buenos Aires, Cape Town and Chicago. When his conflict resolution work took him to Nigeria, Medved became a resident DJ on Rhythm 93.7 FM, Africa’s largest radio station, exposing more than 6 million listeners to house and techno.
Medved hosted the inaugural Electronic Music Awards in 2017 and has been featured and interviewed by The Associated Press, TIME, GQ, CNN, CBS This Morning, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Access Hollywood, Grammy Pro, AOL Build & more.
As a DJ, producer and curator, Medved has performed at global festivals including Electric Zoo, Billboard Hot 100 Fest, Burning Man, Sunburn, Oasis, Abroadfest, Elements and Camp Bisco, and signed releases to Interscope and Downtown Records.
