Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Melo D is hailed as one of the most remarkable dj’s in the world. He is an original member of the LA supergroup, the Beat Junkies, and has successfully cemented himself as a legend in the international dj community.
Melo D has been headlining major nightclubs and music festivals all around the globe since the mid 90’s, and continues to flourish at some of the most reputable nightclubs in the industry. With an extensive list of headlining residencies at the most renowned venues in the business, from Las Vegas to Tokyo, Melo D is no stranger to moving a room, and is highly acclaimed for his unique style and technical precision.
Melo D fell in love with music as a toddler, and began collecting records around age 4: “I would beg my parents to take me to the record store every weekend and buy me 45’s. The Bee Gees, Queen, The Eagles, Donna Summer, and then onto New Order, Madonna, Run DMC, The Beastie Boys, Slick Rick, and Public Enemy. There was always a new song out and I HAD to have the record. I couldn’t get enough. I still have all of my records to this day.”
With 20 + years of professional dj’ing to his name, including 12 years of prime-time mixshow at LA’s top radio stations, multiple World Championship dj competition titles, and television deals with Quincy Jones and Jimmy Iovine, Melo D has a wealth of experience and is a bona fide professional when it comes to his craft. He has performed alongside a substantial list of artists including: No Doubt, James Brown, Eminem, N.W.A., Aaliyah, LMFAO, Ludacris, and Katy Perry. He has also left quite an impression with many A-Listers at celebrity events, including parties for Jennifer Lopez, the Kardashians, and Paris Hilton.
