As classically trained electronic musicians with a “weekend warrior” mentality, Rico and Miella are writing the next chapter of their composition book. 2014 was a huge year for the duo, who released songs with artists such as Tom Swoon, Stadium X, Lush & Simon, and KDrew. Their musical gymnastics and range landed Rico & Miella a #3 spot on the Beatport top 100 chart with “Ghost,” a feature on Jenna Marbles’ Top 15 Countdown on Sirius XM for “Let Me Go,” and a strong endorsement on MTV for their music video “Let Me Go”.
Rico & Miella have set the foundation for four of their last five releases. As evidenced by their inspired collaborations, their songwriting and vision have galvanized more artists than ever before. Rico & Miella’s wide-ranging vocals and talent for producing resonating melodies have drawn the attention of top artists. These collaborations have done the near impossible: infused fresh sound into the saturated electronic dance music market.
Stepping off the stage with Nicky Romero during WMC 2015, Rico and Miella reflected on their years-long musical crusade that has garnered interest from some of the top labels and talent in the world. As DJs, producers and vocalists, Rico & Miella are bringing their triple threat to the main stage with the support of labels like Protocol, Armada, and Revealed.
