Asdek & Jace Mek Unite for Gritty Bass-House Destroyer “Loose Mind”
Parisian DJ/producer Tchami has earned a fair share of hype for his Confession label over the past few years. For its latest release arriving this Friday, he’s lined up a prime international collaboration in the form of “Loose Mind,” which sees fellow Parisian duo Asdek laying down a gritty bass-house banger with L.A. young gun Jace Mek. The results are powerful, indeed.
The operative word here is “noise,” although the kind of noise heard on “Loose Mind” has been polished into powerful, crunchy grooves of the highest order. Propelled by a full-throttle house beat, Asdek & Jace Mek leverage a voice sample that’s been cleverly distorted beyond all recognition. It’s a prelude to the cavalcade of rhythmic noise that arrives a minute in.
“’Loose Mind’ is a mind-bending, quirky tune the boys from Asdek and I made,” Jace Mek tells Insomniac. “We wanted to go for something aggressive and weird, and I think we got it with this one.”
Make no mistake: This represents one powerful release for the Confession stable.
Available November 10 via Confession.
