Aylen Unleashes Mind-Melting Breaks Remix of “Bumps”

The Psycho Disco! crew hit dancefloor gold in 2016 with Codes’ “Bumps,” a rollicking slice of bass house that proved to be the label’s biggest smash to date. Deciding at the start of the year that it was time to revisit this shattering tune by remixing the hell out of it, the label has unleashed the Bumps & Boom Bapps Remixes EP, including an update from Codes himself—plus LOTS more.

“I am beyond excited for this release,” Codes tells Insomniac. “‘Bumps’ and ‘Boom Bapps’ still crush when I play them, so I decided, why not have a bunch of my friends do some sweet remixes? The EP has some longtime homies, plus some new ones I think make cool AF tunes.”

Today, we’re showcasing Aylen’s feisty remix of “Bumps.” It’s a funky, tech-infused affair, full of crunchy, groovy broken beats and dirty bottom-end rumbles. This one is a nasty trunk-rattler that’s heavy enough to nearly rival the original, so don’t sleep on this one.
