Basstrick and KLAXX Bring on the Dancefloor “Destruction” for Deadbeats

As we close in on a year since Zeds Dead unleashed their Deadbeats imprint on the masses, the Canadian duo continue to push the project and all the vibes it encompasses into the stratosphere. With their debut Northern Lights album serving as the foundation for all that has since followed, the Deadbeats moniker has found its way into curated festival stages, music, compilations, a new clothing line, and an epic tour that has been hammering home the Deadbeats ethos in a variety of ways.

Central to that ever-expanding universe of bass-driven ecstasy is the soon-to-be-released second volume in their Deadbeats Compilation series. Gathering a diverse heavyweight squad from across the spectrum of the scene, heads like YOOKiE, Champagne Drip, Astronomar, Shlup, UFO Project, Nebbra, and Rickyxsan all step up to rep the Deadbeats name in jaw-dropping fashion.

Still, there’s one cut that has us bubbling at Insomniac HQ, and that’s Basstrick and KLAXX’s aptly titled burner “Destruction.” From the moment the cinematic intro sinks its hooks into you and pulls you toward the outer edges of the universe, there’s no denying that the anticipation of the drop is almost as powerful as the tech-tinged beast that’s unleashed when the walls come crumbling down. With a breathtaking pull up before dropping the hammer and letting the bass bombs come roaring in, this rugged heater is not only our tune of the day, but one destined to put Basstrick and KLAXX on our radar in the coming year.
