Bonnie X Clyde Prep New Single “Bass Jam” for Insomniac Records
It’s been a wild ride to the top for fast-rising duo Bonnie X Clyde, who continue to carve out a respectable corner in the bass circuit. They already graced our Discovery Project Releases series last August with their breezy bit “Tonight.” They are now back in the act—only this time, we will see them blasting up the Insomniac Records catalog as they prep their forthcoming Wanted EP.
Before they whip out the new weapons, BXC teases the lead single, “Bass Jam,” by offering up the album art for the highly anticipated number. And since we don’t want to be a straight-up tease, we went ahead and grabbed a few words from them, which should give you a strong idea of where they were coming from when they thought up this soon-to-be anthem.
I immediately started writing this track based off of thoughts from when I was in high school… not knowing what was going to happen in my future, not knowing what I would do with the rest of my life, but just knowing that I was young and had to live it up while I could. Along with those feelings, we knew we wanted it to hit at festivals, production-wise. We wanted it to tie back to the music and to our love of bass music, how it makes us feel alive and powerful. The large bass hits in the drop and the continued lyrics “Where do we go from here?” really bring us back to those times and never-ending nostalgia.
