Darius Syrossian Douses “Klasse Kerosine” In a Pumping Tribal-Fueled Groove
Based out of Montreal, Griffintown Records is powered by the same minds behind the illustrious Mile End imprint. In other words, the team has its finger firmly on its native Canadian underground scene, and they’re turning to the bright talent known as D-Tour for their next release. “Klasse Kerosine” is the single in question, a highly combustible house heater heavily doused in hard-knocking attitude. Darius Syrossian elevates the explosiveness of the original even further with his appearance on the package, putting his superior remix abilities to good use.
The Do Not Sleep label-head and Ibiza resident adds more fuel to the fire that is the original pumping rhythm. However, his take puts much more emphasis on the percussive framework, with its hushed hats and tumbling bongo rolls taking the energy up a few notches. The reversed synth samples and yapping vocal also make their way into his version, peppered in generously throughout the five-minute run of this weighty, tribal-fueled groove.
Available August 27 via Griffintown Records.
