Double Agent Drops Catchy Vocal House Banger “Come Alive”

Medium Rare Recordings is bringing you the quality house grooves from all the way Down Under in Australia. This week, it’s throwing out a new offering from Double Agent, an up-and-coming producer whom the label describes as a “whippersnapper” (i.e., he’s young) and who hails from Canberra (an Australian territory typically known for its politicians and public servants, as opposed to its fat beats). With remixes on the horizon from Rrotik, Hood Rich, Tim Light, and Faded & Coppin, we’re bringing you his extremely catchy single “Come Alive.”

“I wanted to try and find the perfect balance between club banger and a song to listen to in the car,” says Double Agent. “I started ‘Come Alive’ with some smooth, harmonic synth action, which then rips out into some heavy bass stabs and wobbles. We got the topline in there and added some big detuned saws, and boom: a weird but cool combination.”

Double Agent straddles those two lines expertly, crafting a house tune that works perfectly for both occasions. The tune is catchy without sacrificing too much club credibility.
