Enter the “Sanctum” With Noya
With the seventh installation of their Flatline compilation EP series on the horizon, Firepower Records gathers up an unholy squad of next-gen producers whose only mission is to drop those vicious vibes on the dancefloor.
From Felmax and Purge’s head-spinning, trapped-out “Gangsta” to Orii’s aptly titled “Vicious”—on through to Blaqout’s “Filthy Friend Switch,” which blasts a hole in the space-time continuum—Firepower once again has its finger on the pulse of what shakes the hearts and minds of even the most battle-hardened warrior in the bassbin trenches.
Still, if you’re looking to deliver the knockout punch, hit up Noya and enter his “Sanctum.” Built on a nasty dub-riddim groove, the sizzling hook and weapons-grade bottom-end make this one an untouchable scorcher that announces the arrival of a new name destined for big things.
“I never in my life thought I would be able to release my music with a label as legendary as Firepower Records,” Noya tells us. “They gave us a very real and very high bar to aim for when this style of bass music was still in its infant stages. I consider it a huge honor and a privilege to be able to release through them. At the same time, my first thought was: Now the real work begins, and there’s no turning back!”
Sharpen your claws and dig in to the beats below, as the seventh volume in the Flatline series hits the streets this Friday.
Available November 17 via Firepower.
