Gullen Seduces With Gorgeous Emotive Cut “Lydia’s Cove”

Prepare to be hypnotized and have those heartstrings pulled, all in the context of a solid groover that’s stamped and certified to deliver emotional moments on the dancefloor. Berlin imprint Mobilee is fast approaching 15 years of being a staple of the city’s world famous house scene, and this week unveils the rather special Sumatra EP from Spanish producer Gullen. We’re premiering “Lydia’s Cove” from the three-tracker as our Track of the Day.

It’s a deep, melodic and emotive effort from Gullen, which speaks strongly to the thematic thread that is woven throughout the EP, with each track representing its own chapter. “Three states of mind that reflect how we work as humans when expressing confrontation, optimism and feelings of relief.”  It’s a release that draws on natural sounds and ambiance, plucking samples from classic folk recordings, and it tells what Gullen describes as a “very personal story.”

“Lydia’s Cove” is the track from the EP that packs the biggest emotional punch, so don’t wait a second more.
