Honey & Badger Bring Huge Energy to “Delta”
Tchami has been doing great things lately with his Confession label. Helping others up the same ladder of success he’s climbed, he’s released a small armada of similarly scoped artists. It seems to be paying off for all parties involved, and a prime example of this is his upcoming release for Belgium’s Honey & Badger. While no strangers to Confession, the duo have clearly upped the ante with their next EP, Grand Place III.
It takes a special kind of firepower for a track to be chosen as Malaa’s Ultra Miami intro. But Honey & Badger brought that big energy in droves to their new tune “Delta,” and the crowd went wild when Malaa dropped it this year. It’s got a hard-hitting four-on-the-floor beat and a mean bassline that sharks through the low-end. Beefy and bass-driven, “Delta” has slick production and a flair for bright and dynamic sounds. The builds rise to cliff-hanging drops that were made to pump hands in the air on large stages. Toss in some dirty, pitched vocal hooks, and you’ve got a secret weapon no room is big enough to hold.
Clearly primed to rise through that same ascension as Tchami, Honey & Badger are earning every bit of it. If this is a taste of what’s to come, then it’s looking like the sky is the limit.
Available April 26 via Confession.
