Iglesias Delivers Pure House Appeal on Soulful and Driving “Chubby”
Iglesias counts among the next gen of producers working hard in the studio to keep the quality levels high in the house music scene, earning reps (and releases) from Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records and Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC, to name just a few. Solardo, for one, have been thrashing Iglesias’ unreleased productions on the touring circuit for close to a year, so they’ve decided it’s time to finally release them on their unstoppable Solä Records imprint.
The Subdue EP lands this Friday, and we’re bringing you its soulful, driving B-side “Chubby” as our Track of the Day. Drawing on a vintage diva vocal as its key embellishment, which keeps it high on the scale of pure house appeal, it’s an offering that’s also driven by an unmistakable tech house tilt on the drums and percussion side of things. Hence, “Chubby” is a polished groover that boasts dual appeal for house music heads of all persuasions.
Available March 8 via Solä Records.
