Isenberg Injects Rico Tubbs’ “Chemistry” With a Bounce
Ferocious powerhouse Rico Tubbs is back with a new floor burner of a track titled “Chemistry.” While it is just that, he’s also enlisted the help of some equally talented remixers to round out this beast.
Dallas producer Isenberg goes deep in the mix of “Chemistry” to bring out some bright and bouncy dancefloor grooves. While the original track is a thick slice of bassline breaks with a mean jungle demeanor to it, this take goes straight in with a breezy four-on-the-floor beat. As the energy and the rhythms build, a gentle layer of breaks slips in to boost things to the next level. Finally, the light mood quickly drops off to reveal an absolutely mental bass drop. Isenberg pulls it all back together, infusing the mean grimace with the same upbeat flow that got it all started.
This remix is a fantastic blend of both worlds: Floating somewhere between tech house and UKG, Isenberg keeps things fresh by tossing in some truly gritty and massive elements from the original version of “Chemistry.” It’s a great complement to Rico Tubbs’ vision, and certainly an excellent addition to this huge release.
“My goal for this remix was to bridge the darker bass music that our label BRØKEN is known for with the uptempo house and garage that I usually produce,” Isenberg tells Insomniac. “I drew influence from UK bass, garage, house, and tech. The whole team at BRØKEN is really excited for this release, as the original mix from Rico Tubbs and the remix from Phlegmatic Dogs are fire.”
