Kayoh’s Industrial-Laced “Dark Room Destroyer” Lives Up to Its Name
Kayoh’s “Dark Room Destroyer” states its intent in its title and then spends the next three minutes living up to it. Electronic body music with industrial underpinnings and heavy bass, “Dark Room Destroyer” grinds, throbs, pulsates, and squelches up a brief but mighty sonic storm.
“Made this one after listening to an episode of Eric Prydz’s Epic Radio on Beats One and heard him call one of his tracks a ‘dark room destroyer,’” Kayoh says. “It’s inspired by his style, but I also wanted to add a downtempo, industrial twist to it to make it really filthy and something that can destroy a club. It’s certainly one of my favorite tracks I have made yet!”
