Khainz’s Analog-Driven Progressive Powerhouse “Collider”
Following up his massive 2018 remix of Luzon’s underground classic “Manila Sunrise,” Khainz returns to Sharam’s signature Yoshitoshi label with his first original material. The Swiss producer, aka Simon Khainz, delivers two solid tracks that are perfect for peak-time dancefloors.
Lead cut “Collider”—today’s exclusive Track of the Day—is a progressive powerhouse that threads the needle between melodic and melancholic.
“The foundation of this track is a Moog Sub 37,” Khainz tells Insomniac. “Some synth lines were done with a Dave Smith Prophet 6, and most of the percussion I did with a Roland TR-8 and Native Instruments Maschine. The dancefloor response has always been great, so I hope you enjoy it as well.”
