KOOS Unleashes Subversive Mayhem With “Ahem”
French imprint Confession just keeps bringing the fire. Case in point: the Ahem EP that’s due to arrive this week. Label boss Tchami has lined up a killer three-track release from fellow countryman KOOS, and we’ve locked down a preview of its title track a couple of days before the full EP drops.
Reflective of the sort of high-powered excellence we’ve come to expect from Confession, “Ahem” is a killer concoction of driving house grooves and noisy, subversive mayhem.
Warming things up with a more traditional soulful house sample, it’s a bait-and-switch on the part of KOOS, who proceeds to throw out a beautifully produced yet mercilessly noisy riff after the first big drop. Wild, yet refined.
Available November 22 via Confession.
