Modd Brings an After-Hours Glow to the Deep House Dancefloor With “Neruda”
For the moment, Modd might be a relatively off-the-radar name in deep house and progressive. Even if you don’t recognize their name yet, it’s quite possible you might have already heard one of their lush productions. The Russian DJ/producer duo already has a slew of releases on labels like All Day I Dream and Kindisch, as well as the sumptuous Guron EP on Anjunadeep and their hypnotic remix of Way Out West’s “Tuesday Maybe.”
This month, they are back with the new three-track Neruda EP with the Kindisch crew, and we’re bringing you its seductive title track as our Track of the Day. “Neruda” features all the Modd trademarks that have been rocketing their music into Beatport’s Deep House charts so quickly: a rich bed of percussion that gets the groove going nicely, before they launch into a divine soundscape of ethereal synths, haunting strings, and whispery vocals. It hits stores in the middle of May but is exclusively out on Beatport now. Get lost in it above!
Available May 18 via Kindisch Music.
