PEZNT Drops Jackin’ Slice of Vintage House With “Cut My Hair” Remix

The Sense Traxx crew is straight up, in terms of what they’re all about: house music in its purest form, with an impressive cast of producers that includes both the established and the up-and-coming. Label boss Simon Shaw has just dropped a new original production on the imprint, “Cut My Hair,” where the label’s ethos is showcased to full effect.

On remix duties is none other than house music legend Todd Terry, representing on the “established” side of things. However, the “up and coming” side of the equation is equally impressive, thanks to the jackin’ talents of Croatian duo PEZNT, who’ve turned out a beautiful rework brimming with gorgeous vintage house sounds.

“When we are remixing, we are trying to keep recognizable elements from the original—but with the PEZNT touch added,” the duo says. “Our main focus is on drums and bassline, which is the foundation for our productions. Simon’s track had many great elements, and working with Sense Traxx is great, as well, as we share the same mindset—both musically, and as humans. We’ve been playing the remix out, and it is doing pretty good on a dancefloor, from small venues to the large festivals.”
