ARTBAT Erects Suspenseful Techno Driver “Wall”
While so many artists squander countless years reaching for relevance, Artur and Batish got there in a flash as soon as they decided to form ARTBAT. In a couple of years, the Ukrainian duo has slingshot into rotation with the help of underground giants like Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin, Sasha, and Solomun getting behind their material. In fact, Solomun had enough faith in ARTBAT to pick up their last single, “Uplift,” for his mighty Diynamic imprint.
As the aforementioned record continues to make the rounds, ARTBAT has already locked in another high-profile deal, this time on Coyu’s big-game imprint, Suara. They’ve turned in three solid offerings for the occasion, packaged as the Trip EP, and Insomniac has pounced on the premiere of “Wall.” They deliver a mountain of suspense on the powerful driver, which is built around driving percussion and relentless arpeggiations. It’s the caliber of track that demands nothing but peak-time attention.
